Foam Concentrates

Niagara –AR-FFFP

Can be used on polar solvents as well as hydrocarbons. It extinguishes fire through a ‘film-forming’ action.  Niagara is the worlds first UL listed high fluidity multi-purpose foam and is gentle on the environment.  Available as a 3-3, 3% on hydrocarbons and polar solvents.

Niagara is ideal for use in high risk situations where polar solvents (such as alcohols, ketones and ethers) and / or hydrocarbons  (such as crude oil, gasoline, diesel fuel and aviation kerosene) are stored, processed or transported.  Typical applications include municipal fire departments, hydrocarbon and solvent bulk storage tank protection, process areas, warehousing, road / rail loading racks, power stations, marine terminals and offshore platform protection.

Alcoseal – AR-FFFP

Provides maximum protection against both hydrocarbons and polar solvents.  The film forming action ensures outstanding flame knockdown performance.  Less fluidity than Niagara and available as a 3-3 and 3-6.

Alcoseal is the ideal fire fighting foam to use in high risk situations where hydrocarbons (such as alcohols, ketones and ethers) and / or hydrocarbons  (such as crude oil, gasoline, diesel fuel and aviation kerosene) are stored, processed or transported.  It is used extensively by industrial and municipal fire departments.  Typical applications include hydrocarbon storage tanks process areas, warehousing, road / rail loading racks, power stations, marine terminals and offshore platforms.

Tridol S 1, 3 and 6 – AFFF

Tridol S is a superior quality synthetic Aqueous Film Forming Foam (AFFF) concentrate for extinguishing and securing flammable hydrocarbon liquid fires.

Tridol S is used in high risk situations where hydrocarbons (such as crude oil, gasoline, diesel fuel, and aviation kerosene) are stored, processed, or transported. It is used extensively on Rapid Intervention Vehicles (RIV) at major international airports and military bases where fast extinguishment with limited quantities of foam is essential for saving life. Other applications include hydrocarbon storage tanks, process areas, warehouses, road / rail loading racks, power stations, marine terminals and offshore platforms.

Tridol S provides a vapour suppressing foam blanket on unignited hydrocarbon spills.

Tridol S can also be used as a wetting agent in combating fires in Class A materials such as wood, paper, and tyres.

Expandol

Expandol is a superior quality high expansion fire fighting foam concentrate for extinguishing and securing flammable hydrocarbon liquid fires.

Expandol is extremely economical due to its expansion properties.

Expandol is the ideal foam to use at medium expansion at minor incidents such as small hydrocarbon liquid spill fires where close approach to the fire allows handheld apparatus to be used. It can also be used in conjunction with fixed installations to provide bund protection, where it can achieve extinction of fires or suppression of toxic vapour release after chemical spillage.

At medium and high expansion, Expandol is used for the total flooding of fire areas involving Class A and Class B fires: medium expansion for small areas such as cellars and basements of buildings, and high expansion for large areas such as ships' holds, machinery spaces, and LNG storage tank bunds. Medium and high expansion foams are most effective when dealing with outbreaks of fire in inaccessible locations, where direct application of conventional agents such as water is difficult or impossible due to smoke or restricted access.
